RemARKable New Catalog Blog Tour - Post 3

 

Welcome back to day three!

WOW! All the wonderful ideas! My mind is just whirling away! I hope you have enjoyed everythign too.

Here's a simple card. The base card is new Daffodil Delight, the first layer is Pumpkin Pie card stock that I ran through the Big Shot with the Lattice Square embossing folder! Love that folder! The top layer is a piece of the Greenhouse Gala DSP! LOVE IT!!!! You can come up with so many different color combos with this paper. I wrapped the two top layers with the Daffodil Delight 1/8" tafetta ribbon - I guess after 3 days you know what my fav ribbon is! ;-)

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink on Whisper White card stock and then punched out with the small oval punch. I layered that on a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock that I punched out with the oval scallop punch.

Almost forgot! On the card base, I used one of the flowers from the Friends Never Fade set & with Versamark Ink, I stamped that flower all over the front to create a watermark. It's kind of hard to see but it's there!

It's been a fun three days! I certainly enjoyed seeing what can be done with many of the new products in our catalog. And, just think, this is just a taste of what we have to offer!

RemARKable New Catalog Blog Tour - Post 2

 
Welcome to Day 2 of the RemARKables new catalog tour!

Here is another set you will find in the new catalog! Artistic Etchings. As you can see, it works for more that just cards. Perfect gift idea too when you pair your card with the Simply Adorned charms!

Here, I used the 1" square charm (the chain is 24" - purchased separately). I used Confetti White card stock to stamp the key image and the funky little long image in Soft Suede. The beauty of these charms is that you can change the images whenever you want! Stamp an image for any season, holiday, color combo, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination!

The card base is Soft Suede the was stamped with the round image in the set with Soft Suede Ink. The news print is from the new DSP called...........Newsprint! I spritzed it with Log Cabin Spritzer and the placed a layer of Riding Hood Red card stock wrapped with Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. The top layer is a piece of Confetti White card stock stamped with the Round Circle image in Soft Suede, the crown stamped with Early Espresso, and Amour stamped with Riding Hood Red.  I placed the top layer on with dimensionals.

RemARKable New Catalog Blog Tour - Post 1

Welcome to day one of the tour!

I decided to show you two different ways to use the new Friends Never Fade stamp set! I love this set. On the left, the base card is our new Marina Blue. Then, on the left side I used a piece of the Presto paper and sponge it with Daffodil Delight and Marina Blue ink. I then added a piece of Daffodil Delight CS that I punched with the Eyelet Border punch. The ribbon is the new 1/8" taffeta ribbon in Marina Blue - LOVE this ribbon. I then stamped the Friends are Flowers stamp in Marina Blue on Whisper White CS and layered that on Daffodil Delight CS. Easy Peasy!

The card on the right , is a 5" square card using Early Espresso. The Yellow piece is from the new DSP Greenhouse Gala and I cut it with the Square Scallop Die Cut for the Big Shot. I then stamped Friends are Flowers in Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight on Very vanilla CS. I cut the word Friends from the  Daffodil Delight and using dimensionals, placed it on the Early Espresso piece. I colored in the middle of the flower with a Daffodil Delight Marker. II layered this with Very Vanilla CS and Early Espresso CS and using dimensionals, placed in on the Scalloped Square. On this card I used the 1/8" taffeta ribbon in Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight.

Get Ready for a Tour!

 
 I feel like I am always apologizing!  Well, NO MORE!!!! I am promising that I will put something on this blog at least 2 times a week. Our new catalog has so many goodies, that the possibilities are endless!

In two days come along on a tour of the new catalog. See what new things we have to entice that creativity streak that you have hidden inside! You will drool over the new colors, papers,, toys! WOW! is all I can say. Here is a little sneak peek!

Are You Ready????

Greetings All,

Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone has had a good weekend. I would like to thank all those who are serving our country and all those who have in the past.

I have had so much fun lately with my Digital Studio! I did this invitation for my nephew who just graduated from college. It's so easy and you can't mess up! If you make a mistake - just undo - how easy is that! If you'd like to try out this program, just give me a call. Come on over and play with it.

Now for some good stuff - well, sort of. It is getting toward the end of Stampin'UP!'s  year. That means NEW stuff but will also mean saying so long to some old stuff. The lists will be coming out tomorrow, so be prepared to grab up anything that will be retiring. 

There are lots of good thins coming out, so stay tuned and get ready to PARTY!!!!

A Quick Good Morning!

 
Good Morning All,

I thought I would share the announcement I made for my new grandson. I used My Digital Studio to create it. I just love the colors. It was alot of fun doing this and the more I use MDS the more I love it.

I did say this was a quick Good Morning as I have to run to my "real job"!

RemARKable Special Occasions Blog Tour - Post 3

 

Happy Saturday!

Welcome back for day 3 of the RemARKable Special Occasion Tour. I am so sorry to see it end. I really have been enjoying both doing the projects and seeing what everyone else has come up with!

In keeping with my theme - part three is......... And here comes _______ with a baby carriage! For this card I used Crushed Curry for the base. The next layer is a piece of Tall Tales DSP. I used the Monkey & Whale from Fox & Friends (That set was in the occasions mini but if you missed out you can always use Animal Stories) and stamped them on Whisper White paper in Dusty Durango ink. I then punched them, out with the 1 3/8" circle punch. I punched out the scallop circles from Dusty Durango paper and layered the animals on them. The sentiment is from Little Angels but you can use whatever one you have. I used a white jumbo grommet on the upper portion of the card and used Crushed Curry dotted ribbon. I wqs a super quick & easy card but just right for either sex.

RemARKable Special Occasions Blog Tour - Post 2

Greetings All and Welcome to Day 2 of The RemARKables Special Occasion Tour!

Isn't this fun. So many great ideas, I can't wait to try my hand at some of them! Well, back here at Barb's Ink Pad, it's time for part two - Then comes marriage..

You can use this card to celebrate a wedding or an anniversary. I love the colors. The card base is Basic Gray, one of my favs! The pink layer is Pretty In Pink that I ran through the big Shot using the ne embossing folder, Square Lattice. On Whisper White I used Old Olive and Pretty In Pink Stamp and Write Markers for the flower (from the new WaterColor Trio set) . I then used a Square Pink brad from the fire collection in the middle of the flower. The ribbon is Basic Gray Taffeta.  The bottom sentiment is from "From the Heart". I stamped it first with Versamark, then Basic Gray ink before stamping it on the card. I then used Iridescent Ice to emboss the sentiment. Voila!

At the end of this post is a little something I made for my parents. I used one of the chip board pieces from the scallop circle On Board book that was in the Occasions mini. The base paper is the new Presto Patterns specialty paper. I brayered it with Basic Gray ink (I used the sponge roller) and the spritzed it with the Vanilla Mist Smooch Spray. On the one side is a picture of my parents matted with Whisper White. I used the medium size clear round rhinestone brads in the corners. The butterflies are from the Big Shot Embosslit Beautiful Wings. The other side has the same base, then a layer of Whisper White, a layer of Basic Gray (embossed with the Finial Press Embossing folder), then another layer of WW with a flower from the set WaterColor Trio. I actually stamped the whole flower in Basic Gray and the colored the flowers in with Real Red Stampin' write marker. Happy Anniversary is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The ribbon is Basic Gray Taffeta and the slide is from the Silver Hodgepoge Hardware set. Butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings embosslit. 

This is their 60th Wedding Anniversaary - which I googled and found was a diamond celebration!  That's one reason I tried to stick with the gray & white. Actually I want to make it to my 100th! LOL! That's a 10 K diamond! OhYES!

RemARKable Special Occasions Blog Tour - Post 1

 
Greetings All,

I am so happy to be part of this blog tour! I just LOVE special occasions. It's especially true right now because I am expecting my grandson to be born any day now!!!!!

I've chosen a cool little theme for this tour - remember the old saying, "First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes .......with a baby carriage!"? Well, here is First come love. It's just a nice little card for those newly engaged.

I used Rich Razzleberry for the card base. The second layer is So Saffron That I ran through the Big Shot with the Finial Press embossing folder. After I placed the So Saffron layer on the card base I sprayed the card with the new Gold Glow Smooch Spritz. The stamp set I used was Awash with Flowers (will be available in 2010-2011 catalog). The inks I used - Garden Green, So Saffron, and Rich Razzleberry - on Confetti White card stock. I even added a bit of the Smooch Spritz to that layer! LOVE IT!! The last touch I added was three bitty clear heart buttons. These buttons are so cute.
